My name is Rupesh Sanghavi.
I immigrated to the United States from Mumbai, India in 1999 and have been living in Texas for more than 12 years.
Professionally, I’m an application engineer, having worked for many years at several major corporations.
In 2007, I became inspired to start my company, ErgodE, after seeing how expensive my wife’s college textbooks were. Knowing that educational books are in constant demand, I got in touch with several suppliers and began selling them at a much lower price than I found elsewhere.
Since then, we’ve expanded our product line to include tools, toys, electronics, houseware, beauty products, furniture and more. On top of our flagship sites, ErgodE.com and VirVentures.com, we currently operate an additional 16 websites, each specializing in a different business sector.

I first met Payoneer at the IRCE conference in Chicago, where I was quickly won over by their various payment solutions, including automatic payments, foreign currency accounts, VAT payment services and the ability to pay suppliers directly from their platform.
Their platform is easy to use and they’re always expanding their management tools. In particular, the Store Management tool allows me to stay on top of my sales and revenues, and most importantly, gives me control over my incoming and outgoing funds.
I also found their team to be more responsive, customer-centric and helpful than any of the other companies I had explored at that point.

ErgodE is very much an international company. Today, we staff more than 400 employees across six offices in the US and India. Furthermore, 30% of our customers are located outside of the US, and we actively sell in 13 countries, including Canada, the UK, India and China, and have shipped orders to more than 130 countries in the last year.

Currently, we sell around 4 million book titles and 500,000 non-book items a year. Our goal is to double the number of non-book products to 1 million and to increase our offerings by sourcing products from outside of the US to be sold to the American market.
